Your Neurophysio Scotland Team

Martin Towey

Specialist Neurological Physiotherapist, Fife & Edinburgh

Originally from Ireland, I qualified 15 years ago as a physiotherapist. Prior to training as a physiotherapist, I had studied physiology and neuroscience at Trinity College, Dublin, so I guess it was inevitable that I would specialise in neurology. Post-graduate training equipped me with the skills to treat with a very hands-on approach. I love to help people with neurological conditions to get the best outcome and achieve a better quality of life. My training as a meditation teacher can also help me support clients with the emotional aspect of their condition. I have a good sense of humour and believe it is important that sessions are fun but challenging.

In my free time, I love swimming in the North Sea, coastal rowing and running. I enjoy writing short stories and have self-published two books. I have also collaborated on writing a stage play. I adore Scotland and the Scottish people, and consider Scotland to be my home.
